
When Drake released his duet with the late Aaliyah, “Enough Said”, several music were vey worried that his sound would define his idol’s album. However, he has other plans and it involves several surprise guests.
Drake spoke to MuchMusic about the direction of Aaliyah’s first posthumous album, which he will helm alongside producer Noah ’40′ Shebib. According to the rapper himself, he refuses to put together a project without the assistance of the people who defined Aaliyah’s sound, thus indirectly confirming that Timabaland and Missy Elliott will be involved.
Additionally, Drake rebuffed speculation that Aaliyah’s family was not in support of the project and made it clear that they actually asked him to be involved. Watch what he had to say about the record below:
